What To Do When The [This account already exists] Message Appears?
If the phone number or email address you entered is already registered as a KKBOX member or linked to another KKBOX account, the message "This account already exists." may appear during the account registration or linking process.
- If this occurs during KKBOX account registration:
Simply go to Forgot Password and follow the instructions to reset the password. Once completed, log in directly.
- If this occurs while linking the information to your current KKBOX account, please select one of the options below:
Option 1: Delete the "already exists" account.
After deleting the "already exists" account, proceed to link the desired information to your current KKBOX account.
Please note: If the existing account contains playlists, ensure you export them before deleting.

Once you confirm that the playlists are backed up/no longer needed, delete the account using one of the following methods:
Via Member Center
- Go to Account Center.
- If you are currently logged in, choose [Log Out].
- Log in again using the "already exists" account you want to delete.
- Navigate to [Service and Security] → [Delete Account] and follow the on-screen instructions.
Via the KKBOX iOS App
- Tap [My Library] → the gear icon in the top right corner → [Log Out].
- Log in again using the "already exists" account you want to delete.
- Tap [My Library] → the gear icon in the top right corner → [Help Center] → [Manage Account] → [Delete Account] and follow the on-screen instructions.
Option 2: Re-link to a different email address.
The email address in your account will be our primary method of communication for important notifications, updates to membership rights, and more.
If the email address is no longer in use, please link your account it to an active one.
